ISO & CEN

Webraska was an active member of Technical Committees (TC) in charge of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) regulation both within CEN, the European Standardization Committee, and ISO, the International Organization for Standardization

Webraska followed the following Working Groups within CEN TC278 and ISO TC204 / TC211:

• ISO/TC204/WG3 : Working Group divided into sub-groups respectively addressing GDF (Data exchange format), API (Access routines) and PSF (Physical storage format) standardization.
• ISO/TC204/WG11 : Route Guidance and Navigation Systems standardization.
• CEN/TC278/WG7 and ISO/TC204 : Geographic Data File standardization.
• CEN/TC278/WG8 and ISO/TC204 : Common Data Dictionary standardization aiming at regulating data exchanges between traffic control centers and traffic information centers, referred to as the DATEX solution.
• ISO/TC 211 : Digital Geographic Information standardization.

This working group aimed at establishing a structured set of standards for geographic information. The aim is to specify methods, tools and services for geographic data management (including definition and description), as well as for acquiring, processing, analyzing, accessing, presenting and digitally transferring geographic information between different users, systems and locations.
